2005 HALLBERG-RASSSY 34 TWO CABIN, FIN KEEL, TILLER VERSION The MAID OF STRUAN (no 472) is almost the last of this model, possibly the most elegant of all German Frers’ designs.  Its sturdy construction, fractional rig and long waterline make it a faster yacht than many larger yachts.  It is particularly good in heavy weather, with excellent shelter and particularly good visibility under the cockpit canopy. Two can handle her with ease, especially in strong winds using the third reef, while the sail-drive makes it very manoeuvrable in port. Antifouled in March 2017, engine serviced in February 2017 and rig survey July 2017, she is ready for this season and viewing is highly recommended. Contact the Gosport team on +44(0)2393 510433

Owners Comments

We have owned 'Maid of Struan' from new in May 2005 when we sailed her back from Sweden via Denmark, Kiel, the Dutch Canals and France to Gosport. We have been thoroughly delighted with our ownership of her and have enjoyed annual cruises to Normandy, the Channel Islands, North and South Brittany, La Rochelle and beyond in France and Cornwall in the West Country. We have always had her engine serviced annually by a Volvo Agent and we have brought her ashore for antifouling every year. We are sad to see her go but it is time to hang up our sailing boots.
